Pyro Cosplay 2 by Labwork Pyro Cosplay 2 by Labwork
Pyro cosplay again, but when we'd first finished it. The bottom wasn't painted yet, and I'd lost one of the bottles.

Edit: Okay, I'm just putting this here because I literally get dozens of Notes/questions about it - I did not buy the red jumpsuit, flamethrower or any other major part of this costume. The suit is handmade from scratch on a sewing machine, the flamethrower was hacked together in my garage. I'm sorry I don't have more resources to give ya'll.

The best part is that you can't tell if it's a boy or a girl in the photo.

One of the best pyros I've ever seen. The only thing I can see that isn't quite right is the mask, but I'm still stunned by everything else. Amazing use of upholstery vinyl. Is it hot with long wear? Also, those boots are spot on! Where did you get those? I'm assuming the gloves are the same material as the suit as well?

The only distraction is the bulky suit. Pyro suit is pretty skinny aite?
Well, the rest is superb and I could say you've done a great job on the customization of the suit & the flamethrower. I wish it is Backburner :D

Good luck in omgwtfbbq'ing someone :P

Whoa. Now that I see this picture, I remember you. I remember seeing your flamethrower tutorial on TF2chan and everything. It was really impressive. I still love this costume.

I'm probably going to redo my Pyro suit soon. Would you mind sharing where you got your fabric from? (:

Wow... This is just... wow...

I feel like a total douche for asking, but since you have the best Pyro cosplay going... Can I ask you a few question about your costume? See, I'm making my own Pyro for an upcoming con and I'm about to go into panic mode cause I don't know how to do a lot of it. I'm really sorry if I'm bugging you. :I

That is absolutely amazing! I too am planning a Pyro cosplay, but I'm having quite a difficult time finding the suit as well as the gas mask.

Could you share your secrets as to where you found yours? Or did you get the suit made?

I made the costume, including customizing the gas mask. Look into Russian masks, you'll have to do some mods (mine's not even finished in this pic), but it's certainly do-able.

Hi there, thanks a bunch :)

I used to have a tutorial up on TF2chan on how to do the Flamethrower, but it's long-gone now. It's just PVC pipe, a propane/helium tank (though a lotta people switch this out for something else, it's admittedly pretty heavy), formed plastic, and a gas handle (finding an old one can be difficult though).

The most important thing is making sure you secure everything together properly. Mine is drilled the entire way through, it holds together well, but the paint needs touch-up regularly.

There isn't much more to it than that. I didn't really take measurements or anything, just kinda eyeballed it. If there's a specific part you want help on, send me a Note and I'll do what I can :)

Thanks again!
